We would love to have you here to celebrate our love on this important day.
We would love to have you here to celebrate our love on this important day.
We met as freshmen at West Chester University, and mutual friends introduced us. The first time we saw each other was over FaceTime — and even through a screen, something just clicked. We couldn’t stop thinking about one another. What started as a casual friendship quickly grew into something much more profound. From the beginning, everything between us felt easy — effortless, like we were always meant to find each other.
Our first unofficial date? It was a spontaneous trip to eat at this Chinese spot in Delaware (the food was excellent). Our first official real date was at Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza, where we mostly just sat, smiled, and got lost in each other’s company. We noticed early on how naturally we balance one another: one teaches the importance of emotional expression, and the other teaches the importance of stability (you can guess who’s who). Over time, through every laugh, challenge, and moment in between, we built a love that feels like home.
Some of our favorite memories are the beautifully simple ones. I used to pick him up in my old Honda Odyssey, and he’d return the favor in his very loud, proud-modded Nissan Altima. We’ve spent sunny days at the beach, gone jet skiing, explored haunted places, wandered through fall festivals, taken spontaneous road trips (including one wild 24-hour trip to get his car turbocharged), and shared quiet moments at Marsh Creek State Park, just sitting by the water together. We’ve thrown a football in the park, played basketball, and gone to the shooting range, but no matter what we’re doing, we’re always happiest just being side by side. We share the same religious beliefs, morals, values, and what we want our future to look like. We bring each other joy in the smallest moments: watching shows, sharing good food, or simply doing nothing at all, as long as we are together.
On September 28, 2024 — several years after our first date — Eric got down on one knee at Morton’s Steakhouse. It was the perfect night, filled with love, tears, laughter, and a moment I’ll remember for the rest of my life. I had the perfect ring and, more importantly, the ideal person. Now we’re here, counting down to forever. We couldn’t be more excited to celebrate this next chapter surrounded by the people who mean the most to us. Thank you for being a part of our story — and for reading just a little piece of it.
